London Olympics Ticket Sales

Be wary of any other organisation selling tickets for the London Olympics unless for example they are a reputable corporate hospitality company or a reputable travel agent.

For UK residents looking to buy tickets to the London Olympics you should have applied directly through the official London Olympics website before the deadline of 26th April 2011. But all is not lost with the promise of more tickets becoming available.

Keep an eye out here for the latest news regarding London Olympics Ticket Sales.

The Mayor of London returns 1,000 Olympics tickets

The Mayor of London Boris Johnson who personally missed out on obtaining any tickets to the London Olympics has in his professional capacity returned 1,000 tickets to London Olympic organisers.

The Mayor had been allocated 2,000 tickets, at his request for hospitality purposes but after 1.2 million people missed out on tickets and it was announced that there would be 1.3 million less tickets available the Mayor did the decent thing and streamlined his plans.

The Mayor claims that there will be no tickets for politicians or indeed for any of his staff as was originally planned. Although by default he will in essence be able to access all areas as part of his official duties. The lucky sausage!

London 2012 Olympics - Did you get a ticket?

Most Londoners who applied for tickets to the 2012 Olympics should have discovered whether their application via public ballot was successful. Games organisers said they were on track to debit accounts by midnight on Tuesday. They will then be contacting people whose cards have failed until 10 June, and people will be told which tickets they have on or before 24 June.

When Britain landed the Olympics, we were promised that the result would be a surge of interest in sport and healthy living. Instead, the Games have quickened our interest in quite another topic: higher mathematics. All across the country yesterday, those lucky enough to have received Olympic tickets – or rather, to have had mysterious deductions made from their bank accounts – were trying to work out what it meant.

London Olympics Tickets Sales or should we say lottery...

Many people have been left disappointed as demand was far greater than the amount of tickets available so for those who applied obtaining tickets was quite literally a lottery.

However, if you didn't apply for tickets in time or did and were left disappointed the remaining tickets for the London 2012 Olympic Games will become available online and by phone on a first come first served basis from September/October 2011. You can only use Visa to buy the tickets and you will be able to do so directly through the official Olympics website.
